She would have already known Zordon and Alpha 5 and was sent to help them find the Ghost Galleon ship, as well as help out throughout the story.

All of the scenes were apparently shot, but cut out of the final film. The Turbo Zords were created by custom car builder George Barris.

Barris had created custom vehicles for films such as the Stone Age cars in The Flintstones , the spy cars for James Bond films, and the theme park terrain vehicles for Jurassic Park Filming for this movie took place during filming of the Power Rangers Zeo television series.

While they were filming Katherine Catherine Sutherland hanging off a cliff in an African jungle, it started to snow.

The crew told her not to breathe because they could see the condensation. After Jason helps Kimberly escape the bilge of Divatox's craft, she was supposed to lose consciousness from lack of air and sink into the ocean.

After Mandika the mermaid saves Bulk and Skull by giving them a log to use so they can swim to Muranthias, Mandika saves Kimberly from drowning and takes her to shore.

The sequence and all footage of Mandika were cut, but the epilogue of remains, when native warriors find an exhausted Kimberly on the beach.

This explains why Bulk and Skull aren't as tired as Kimberly when she arrives on the island. Deleted material included a fight with a crocodile, a longer trek through the volcano and more character development for Justin.

Unlike the first movie, this movie takes place within the continuity of the television series. The first episode of Turbo takes place after the movie.

Because of this, the design for the movie was closer to the television show. The Ranger suits were spandex rather than the armor-like suits of the first movie, and the Megazord was filmed with the series' suitmation style rather than computer animation.

Also, certain sets and costumes from the movie, such as the Power Chamber set and the Alpha costume, were also used in the television series, albeit with no mention of the extensive makeover they received in the interim.

Kat is the only Ranger to use her Zeo powers in the movie, albeit only briefly. As a result, she is also the last person to ever use the Zeo power.

Steve Cardenas and Johnny Yong Bosch also did work as uncredited stunt men in the film and also doubled as Piranhatrons in certain parts of the film.

This explains why they are able to fight the Turbo Rangers with ease and why Tommy is struggling when an evil Jason tries to strangle him.

However, the scene with the explanation was cut due to the film's allowed running time. The omission for this explanation is unknown. When she did, the cannon went overboard.

The crew had to stop filming and retrieve the cannon. John Jason was going to appear in the first Power Rangers film, but he wasn't able to do it because of his contract dispute during the second season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers During the sequence in Africa when Tommy saves Katherine, after he takes her to shore, Tommy was actually supposed to be attacked by a crocodile.

He would have been dragged into the water by his Power Box backpack when the crocodile grabs it in its jaws, but he manages to jam a nearby log into the animal's mouth and swims to shore.

When the crocodile follows Tommy to shore, Katherine takes a blow torch from her Power Box and fires a torch to scare the crocodile away.

The sequence was ultimately cut to keep the running time of the film short. This is explains why there is a photo of Katherine holding a flame thrower on the back of the back cover of the movie's VHS and DVD, but it isn't seen in the film.

In the original shooting script, Divatox's name was Darivia. Directed by David Winning. Due to a contract dispute, he only received co-credit with the producer, and no editing influence.

The suits that were used in the movie did not have the patches on the upper arms. Adam's weapon, the thunder canon, was held backwards.

Divatox's revealing outfit is one of the reasons the film received a 'PG' rating instead of 'G', since the film was targeted at a child audience to begin with.

Hilary Shepard stated that Divatox's name stemmed from the phrase "toxic diva". The character Adam has a Minivan for a Zord. Johnny Yong Bosch has said he wanted to improvise another funny joke about his character being stuck with a ridiculous choice of a power and Zord as he did in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie but was denied by the director.

His character's name was later changed to Justin Stewart. In the Turbo television series, Justin Blake Foster is the only character from the movie to remain throughout the series.

Steve Cardenas and Blake Foster both share the same birthday which is May 29th. David Yost and Karan Ashley who played Billy and Aisha respectively had actually already left the Power Rangers series by the time the Turbo movie was filmed.

The hope of victory lies in the Ranger's incredible new Turbo powers and powerful Turbo Zords. Written by Andrew N. The first film, 's "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie", brought the six butt-kicking teens from the Fox Kids series to the big screen for the first time.

That movie was not all that bad. It had some decent special effects, a somewhat interesting bad guy Ivan Ooze , and the six young actors who play the Power Rangers were fun to watch.

Plus, that film had a bigger budget. But they went back to the cheapness of the TV show with "Turbo". The special effects, production design, and costumes are so cheap and cheesy that you wonder why 20th Century Fox gave the go-ahead to let these filmmakers who are close to the TV show make this film.

Also, the script is much worse than it was in the first movie. Bulk and Skull have more screen time here. It has one of the least interesting villains of all time actually, a villainess.

It's very, very, very, very, very, juvenile. And the Power Ranger actors look as if they want to escape this atrosity. So I have one question.

Why did they release this movie to theaters? This should have been released straight to video. Or better yet, release it as a TV movie, were this series started in the first place.
