Poppy and Branch get into a fight saying their differences matter and Branch leaves he is later attacked by the Reggaeton and K-Pop trolls, who are also bounty hunters hired by Barb they later dance off over who should have Branch until Branch convinced them that their own music goes well together and they should work together to save all of music.
Meanwhile Poppy meets up with Hickory who tells her to get out with the string, this causes his brother and partner Dickory to get angry and reveal that he and Hickory were actually the Yodelers in a Country Troll disguise who were also hired by Barb who arrives takes the Pop string and captures Poppy and takes her to Volcano Rock City after revealing she attacked Pop Village.
Barb imprisons Poppy over a concert stage: the audience is captive trolls. He turns into a Rock zombie and Barb then turns the tribe leaders into Rock zombies.
Poppy is seemingly transformed but reveals she was wearing gumdrop earplugs which she learned from Hickory when Chaz attacked. Poppy admonishes Barb for being a poor queen and her drummer Riff speaks up saying no one will think they are cool if they are all the same.
After Poppy tells her a good queen listens and real harmony takes different voices, she proceeds to smash the guitar causing a huge blast.
Her plan now foiled, Barb blames Poppy for destroying music and ruining everything. The Trolls then become depressed that their music is gone forever.
But then Cooper hears his now glowing heartbeat and amplifies it over a microphone which creates a rhythmic beat for all the Trolls to hear while Prince D beatboxes along with it, other trolls join in with other forms of sound-making, thus reviving the power of their music.
Quincy also states their music started with the strings but now it comes from within themselves. In song, Poppy encourages everyone to sing together as their colors are restored.
Realizing how important other forms of music are and encouraged by her father King Thrash, the repentant Barb joins in, regaining her colors, and accepting Poppy's offer of friendship.
Branch confesses his love to Poppy, who reciprocates and high fives with him. Back at the Pop village, everyone performs together, and all Trolls are finally reunited while celebrating their differences.
In a mid-credits scene, Bridget and King Gristle arrive to the Pop Troll village, unaware of the events of the film, and worried they have missed the party which upsets Gristle because no one will eat his cheeseballs.
Corden, Icona Pop, Funches, and Nayyar returned to reprise their roles. Following the delay of No Time to Die , it was once again pushed up to the original April 10 release date.

The Trolls are then captured by Chef, and Poppy gets shocked to discover that Creek betrayed them out to the Bergens in a cowardly and selfish attempt to save himself from being eaten, revealing that he wasn't a Zen and that his captive in the jewel was a trap.
Creek lures out every troll from Troll Village via Poppy's cowbell and they are captured by Chef and the other Bergen cooks. With all the Trolls captured, thrown into a pot and soon to be eaten, a heartbroken Poppy falls into despair and loses hope as she and all the other Trolls turn gray.
Branch tries to sing " True Colors " for Poppy to cheer her up, confessing his love for her. Poppy, after regaining her colors and realizing that she has fallen in love with Branch, returns his feelings, and they restore all the trolls' colors, including Branch's.
Bridget saves the trolls, willing to sacrifice herself. Poppy can't bring herself to abandon Bridget and, with Branch and her friends, shows Gristle Jr.
The vengeful Chef refuses to accept the peace and tries to kill the Trolls, but is knocked into a serving cart, set on fire, and sent rolling out of Bergen Town with Creek, who is still in her pouch.
Both species celebrate, bringing new life to the town. Poppy is then declared queen of the Trolls, and Poppy and Branch share a friendly hug.
